Who We Are

The Barony of Ponte Alto is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism based in the inner Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC.  Ponte Alto is part of the Kingdom of Atlantia which stretches from Maryland to South Carolina, plus a little bit of Georgia. Map of Atlantia.

What We Do

The Barony works to re-create parts of the Middle Ages through "hands on" activities such as armored combat, fencing, archery, clothing making, embroidery, and music.

Where We Are

The Barony's official territory covers Fairfax County (except for Centreville and Chantilly), Arlington County, and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church, but our activities are open to anyone who is interested.

Their Excellencies of Ponte Alto, Hákon brimill and Hrefna blinda, welcome you!

Greetings from your seneschal!

In our efforts to expand our reach, Ponte Alto has a new Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/barony_of_ponte_alto/

Be sure to check it out!

New Google Group replacing old Email distro

Greetings from your seneschal!

Some of you might be familiar with the email distro that we as a barony had for Ponte Alto. The email distro (in general) saw little use, and (after the host experienced a hard drive crash a year or two ago) the archives for the email list no longer archive anything.

The kingdom has been moving to Google Groups as a replacement for the old email lists. And now Ponte Alto has one!

If you'd like to join the group, it can be found at https://groups.google.com/a/group.atlantia.sca.org/g/pontealto

You'll get an error message saying "you don't have permission to access this content"

Click the "asking to join the group" option!

There's not much in the way of content yet, but hopefully as we get used to the new group, it will become an additional/alternate to keep up to date on Ponte Alto events and activities!
